Group Training is an employment and training arrangement whereby an
organisation employs apprentices and trainees under an Apprenticeship
/ Traineeship Training Contract and places them with host employers.
A Group Training
Organisation undertakes the employer responsibilities for the quality
and continuity of the apprentices’ and trainees’ employment
and training. The Group Training Organisation also manages the additional
care and support necessary to achieve the successful completion of the
training contract.
How It Works

When you engage an Electro Group apprentice or trainee you become a “Host Employer”.
Instead of your organisation taking the apprentice on directly, Electro Group employs them and “places” them to you for a nominated period of time.
We are the legal employer and manage all the responsibilities, including discipline and counseling.
All you need to do is sign a simple pro-forma, weekly time sheet and Assessment Report for each apprentice you engage.
We will establish an account with you (setting out clearly the obligations of both parties) and issue you with a weekly invoice for the hours* worked.
It’s as simple as that!
* The hourly rate also covers the statutory labour on-costs and paid leave entitlements, but excludes special allowances and overtime at penalty rates.

What It Costs
As a host employer you pay an agreed rate only for the days the apprentice or trainee has worked.
We pay for all other costs, including:
WorkCover Premiums and return to work plans

Annual Leave
Sick Leave
Public Holidays
Protective clothing & footwear
Toolkit and safety goggles
Registration with relevant authorities
Taxation and Group Certificate
Transfer of weekly wages
